SUMMARY:Chapter Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We’ve got a lot planned for our first chapter meeting of 2020! The legislation is in session\, so we will learn about new bills relevant to Surfrider’s mission from Zero Waste Washington’s executive director\, Heather Trim. After that\, we’ll have a letter writing session\, where we write to our representatives about the importance of common-sense plastic pollution reduction policies. And why not throw in a bag-making party\, too? Got any old T-shirts that you don’t wear but don’t want to throw away? Bring them and we’ll show you how to turn them into a reusable\, washable bag in honor of the statewide reusable bag bill (SB 5323)\, which has already made it through the Senate and on to the House!
