Hands Across the Sand Event
This Saturday, May 18th, is Hands Across the Sand, an international anti-offshore drilling campaign in which people around the world join hands to literally draw a line in the sand in opposition to continued investment in fossil fuels. Originating in Florida in response to proposed offshore drilling legislation, this event has spread to coasts across the globe as people from every walk of life come together to show the world that we support clean energy. Join us this Wednesday, May 29th at Three Magnets for our our May Chapter meeting. Starting at 7:00 pm, our Rise Above Plastics Specialist, Christine Rayburn, will teach us about plastic pollution - where it comes from, the problems it causes, and how to prevent it!
